Introducing the bed partners of Milly

Monday, June 25th, 2007

For the very first time we all ate as a family around the table. Amelia wasn’t too pleased about sitting in her high chair and would slump to one side or another but it was fun to watch.

She’s also becoming more adept at nearly-crawling which involves shuffling around and rolling over to eventually get where she wants to be, which are usually places she’s not allowed to be or chasing Bingo.

She now weighs 16lbs 1oz and is a little over two feet long/tall. Mummy and Daddy are losing weight too preparing for their Meditteranean cruise.

Three blogs in three days – just like that

Sunday, June 24th, 2007

In an unprecedented show of enthusiasm we are posting our third consecutive daily blog. Just goes to show how much more productive this web based blogging thingy is rather than firing up the piece of crap mac.

Today has been a suitably lazy Sunday with two lots of Grandparents and cousin Charlie coming to visit. Grandma Sue brought the errrrr lovely chicken hat as seen being modelled by Milly above.

The current struggle that Mummy and Daddy are having is that Milly [ the little angel ] is absolutely refusing to sleep. Every five minutes she’s screaming and shouting. We try the whole controlled crying tosh but she really is wearing us out. Thankfully Emma and I are both exceptionally patient, snigger.

As I finish this blog screams are coming from the nursery. Joy.

Psycho eye baby in mobility scandal

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

As mentioned in yesterday’s missive the baby walker arrived and it only took Daddy a matter of hours to build it.

It also coincided with the arrival of our sparkly new 10 mega pixel camera [ yes we are playing that numbers game thing ] so now our crappy blurry pictures will be crappy and blurry but much more detailed crappiness and blurriness.

Continuing with the likes and dislikes of our delightful daughter – likes rusks – dislikes the Hipp spinach and cheese jar that we are testing out for our forthcoming holiday.

Daddy went microlighting today and Amelia Poppy watched him come into land with a big smile on her face.

Deep thought

It’s all been going on since last we blogged. We’ve discovered that Amelia *really* doesn’t like immunisations. She does like pureed sweet potato, pear, advocado, apple and of course baby rice. Unfortunately she wasn’t too keen on parsnip but we’re not too bothered about that.

As far as developments are going she can roll over from her back to her front but can’t always get back which causes her some frustration.

Also she has either started some sort of crawling or we have a poltergeist! Mummy and Daddy left Milly lying on her back in the middle of her playmat whilst cooking dinner. We returned to her a minute or two later and she had moved herself from her mat to pretty much underneath the armchair. She looked quite pleased with herself, but Emma and I decided we needed to strap her down or buy her a walker – the walker arrived today.

Finally, as the picture shows she has become a very contemplative [ is that a word??? ] little girl.
