Old School

We’re taking it back a few decades here to a picture of Grandma Steele with her little baby boy Darren. I know my Mum is a regular reader of the blog and so will no doubt be utterly unhappy to find herself plastered all over the tinter-web flashing next weeks dirty-washing. Honestly, I don’t think the length of that skirt is appropriate for a christening mother!

For those interested the shot was taken outside St Thomas’ Church, Ashton-in-Makerfield.

Amelia and her veeeee-hickles

Next in the series of Amelia with her vehicles is our little angel and her car. Since this picture was taken she has somehow managed to remove the sticker from the cars mouth, and then promptly tried to eat it.

Not too sure if she’s managed to get any better at driving yet as I’m posting this blog from Manila, and missing my little girl very much :(

Christmas comes but every other week

Grandpa John and Grandma June gave us a few quid to buy something nice for Amelia – and she ended up with her first ever trike. At the moment it’s a push along one but as her dumpy legs get a little longer she’ll be able to put those fine thighs to some use and pedal her way up and down the garden.

The leather jacket with "Hells Angels – three can keep a secret, if two can’t talk yet" is on order….you’ll have to google it!

Other news in the Steele household…Mummy and Amelia are trying to break a new world record of longest time to be suffering with a cold – they are at 7 weeks and counting. Pahh, chicks!

Improving the health of the nation

Judging by the photo above we have little to worry about the increasing inhabitation of bugs in our hair. It seems that Amelia will be a nit-nurse in later life.

The photo was taken in the pool on board the cruise ship that the family Steele spent a week vacationing upon in September 07.

We also strongly suspect that she may be the first hells angel nit nurse…see follow up photo!

Cover Girl

As you can see Amelia got the hang of wearing her sun hat and sunglasses during our recent holiday. It was unbelievable how much attention she received from passing strangers: During a trip to Pisa two separate groups of people asked to take photos of her as she was "so cute". Whilst in Naples we managed to attract a lot of attention as people stopped and pointed at the baby in sunglasses…..I can assure you though that she was not wearing them as a fashion statement!

Towards the end of the holiday Amelia even managed to adopt a pose where she peered over the top of the glasses in a scarily teacher -like pose.

The sun hat, glasses and paste-like factor 50 suncream did a great job of preserving Amelia’s skin. It took two baths at home to get the white suncream completely off her!
