Fire officers Steele and Steele reporting for duty at Santa Cruz Fire Department. Em, Amelia and I spent a day exploring Santa Cruz and Daddy being a boring would-be botanist dragged us all off to the García Sanabria Park. It was faaaaantastic. We looked at all kinds of crazy plants, we saw parrots flying through the trees, and as you can see above we spent about a fortnight in the childrens play section.
Remember when you were young and cicuses still existed, and clowns used to turn up in those little cars or little motorbikes. Well, that’s how I felt in the little fire engine. I had to kinda slide one leg in right across the engine, then bend double and slide in and finally twist around to drag my other leg in. Jaz would have had no chance! Getting out again was equally tricky.
For the rest of the holiday all we heard from Amelia was "park, park, park, park". Lovely!
